Standards are very important to us. Accordingly, Abbey Fruit has British Retail Consortium - 'Level A' Accreditation, the internationally recognised benchmark for food safety management to approved audited levels.

The standard covers such critical topics as:

factory environment standard

Ethical Trading Initiative

We're also compliant at all levels with the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI), an alliance of companies, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and trade union organisations, which exists to promote and improve the implementation of corporate codes of practice which cover supply chain working conditions.

The ETI's ultimate goal is to ensure that the working conditions of workers producing for the UK market meet or exceed international labour standards.

Improve supplier standards and consistency, and avoid product failure
Eliminate multiple audit of food manufacturers
Support retailer objectives at all levels of the manufacturing supply chain
